Privacy and Data Use
This page explains what the site processes, what stays on your device, and what you should never put into a worksheet.
Quick summary
Use the worksheets without an account
The public planning tools do not require registration. Worksheet answers are processed in your browser and are not submitted to Crime Prevent Coalition. Saving a worksheet uses storage in that browser, and printing uses your device's print dialog.
Information stored on your device
Local storage is controlled through the browser
When you choose Save on this device, the page stores the relevant worksheet state in local browser storage. A person using the same browser profile may be able to see it. Use the page's Clear control or the browser's site-data controls to remove it.
Server and security logs
Basic request data may be processed to deliver the site
Hosting and network systems may process request data such as an IP address, browser identifier, requested URL, response status, and timestamp for delivery, reliability, and security. The public worksheets are designed so their answers do not need to be included in those requests.
Sensitive information
Record the decision, not the secret
Do not enter passwords, recovery codes, full account or card numbers, identity documents, access codes, detailed victim information, or any material that could create risk if another device user saw it. Use a protected record system when an employer, insurer, authority, or regulated process requires personal information.
External links and imported articles
Links to authorities and other organizations lead to services with their own privacy practices. The Docs Library publishing integration exchanges article records between servers; it is not used to collect answers from the public worksheets.
Advertising and consent
Advertising is not active in this build
The site does not currently load advertising code or set advertising cookies. Before advertising is enabled, this notice must identify the advertising provider and data uses that actually apply, the real publisher record must be available through ads.txt, and visitors in regions that require consent must receive the appropriate choices through a Google-certified consent management platform. We will not publish a placeholder publisher identity or claim a consent setup that has not been configured.
Practical privacy choices
Check the device before you save
- On a shared or public device, print only if necessary and clear the form before leaving.
- Keep names and identifying details out of notes unless a formal process requires them.
- Use the tools and worksheets directory to understand what each tool records.
- Read the editorial and AI use policy for the separate content-publishing workflow.
Changes and corrections
This notice should be updated when the site's data practices change. Send privacy or correction questions through the Crime Prevent Coalition contact page. Do not include passwords, recovery codes, account numbers, identity documents, or detailed victim information in email.
